Experts Say Liz Cheney’s Plan to Use Dems to Win The GOP Primary Won’t Work

Good Lord, Liz Cheney is getting her clock cleaned in Wyoming.

And her only hope at this point is to cheat and recruit Democrats to vote for her in the GOP primary.

She’s now sending out instructions to Dems on how to change their political affiliation to vote in the closed primary, and trust me, that is not sitting well with Wyoming locals.

Between that and all the outsider money Liz is soliciting, she’s absolutely tanking in the polls against Trump-backed Harriet Hageman.

Breitbart reported that the recent Casper Star-Tribune/Mason-Dixon poll found Hageman leads Cheney 52 percent to 30 percent. Eleven percent are undecided.

Sixty-six percent also disapprove of Cheney’s overall job performance in Congress, which is driven by her participation in Rep. Nancy Pelosi’s (D-CA) partisan January 6 Committee:
Among those polled, only 27% approved of Cheney’s job performance. Two-thirds disapproved, with 7% saying they were not sure. Men were especially critical of Cheney’s performance: Only one in five approved of the job she’s doing.

Those results track with interviews conducted by the Star-Tribune this summer. The congresswoman’s critics say she’s too distracted by her service on the House Jan. 6 committee and her battles with Trump to properly serve the state, and the poll found 54% of voters were less likely to support her because she’s part of the panel investigating the attack on the Capitol.

But what about her plan to use Dems to cheat her way onto the ballot?

Well, that’s not going to work either.

According to experts, there are not enough Democrat voters willing to help Cheney in the Republican primary.

Cheney has a 53% job approval rating with Democrats who planned to vote in the Republican primary,” according to the poll. But because of the relatively small number of Democrats in Wyoming, crossover voting is unlikely to make a difference.

Good.
